Found 5 Dollars — Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 10, 2026
Found 5 Dollars is a game scorekeeping app. This policy describes what
information the app handles and how.
What we collect
- Without an account: nothing. Your players and scores
are stored only on your device.
- With an account: your email address (used to sign you
in with one-time codes), an optional display name, and the game data you
create — player names, groups, scores, game history, and house rules — so
it can sync between your devices and with group members you choose.
Understanding problems in the app
To find and fix problems, the app can record how a device moves through
its screens, and report errors when something breaks. This is handled for
us by PostHog, which processes it
solely on our behalf.
-
What is recorded: which screens are visited, a small
number of actions (a game started or finished, a pick made, an invite
opened), and the technical details of any error.
-
What is never recorded: anything you type. Every input
is masked before a recording leaves your device, and the sign-in screen
is excluded entirely, so your email address is never captured. We do not
send your player names, group names or scores.
-
Who it says you are: not you. Your account is
represented by a one-way code, not your email address.
-
Turning it off: open the Account tab and untick
“Help fix problems by sharing how this phone uses the app”.
That device then sends nothing at all.
What we don't do
- No ads and no ad tracking.
- No sale or sharing of your data with third parties for their own use.
- No collection of contacts, location, photos, or anything beyond what's
listed above.
Where data lives
Synced data is stored with our sync provider,
Dexie Cloud, which processes it solely
to provide synchronization. Data you share with a group (rosters, scores,
house rules) is visible to that group's members.
Deleting your data
You can delete players, games, and groups in the app at any time. To
delete your account and all synced data, email
bevans@found5dollars.com and
we'll remove it.
Children
The app is a general-audience scorekeeper. Accounts require an email
address; children should use the app without an account or under a parent's
account.
